Early Childhood ScreeningsEarly Childhood Screening Early Childhood Screening is a free & simple check of how your child is growing, developing & learning. It is best done when your child is 3 years old. It is also a requirement for any child entering school in Minnesota. It is designed to ensure the healthy growth of students to be successful in any educational setting and if needed, connect them to resources that will support their development. At your child's screening appointment, a trained professional will check: • Hearing & vision • Growth, immunizations & movement • Thinking, language & communication skills • Social & emotional development Early Childhood Screenings are done by the Minnewaska School District. Little Lakers Child Care CenterWe provide an age-appropriate curriculum that ensures the basic areas of development are addressed with each child from infants to Preschool. TUITION Class Level Weekly Tuition Infants (6 weeks to 16 months) $235 Toddlers (16 months to 33 months) $210 Preschool (33 months until fully potty trained) $200 Preschool (fully potty trained) $190 ENROLLMENT Please have the following information on hand before beginning the registration: Emergency contacts Must have 3 in addition to registering parent Must include phone and address for each Emergency Contact Emergency Contacts must be over 18 years of age Health and medication information including physician and dentist names, phone numbers and addresses. Electronic payment method (credit card or ACH) Child Care contract requests are pending approval by the Little Lakers Child Care office. School Age Child Care* REGISTRATION FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR OPENS AUGUST 1ST, 2025 * Minnewaska's Before School Program (BSP) and After School Program (ASP) are designed to be a safe, welcoming and enriching environment where children are able to be cared for before & after school and on non-school days. * BSP is offered at Minnewaska Area Elementary School from 6:30am - 8:00am ($5.50/day) * ASP is offered at Minnewaska Area Elementary School from 2:45pm - 6:00pm ($8.00/day) * Non-School Day care is offered at Minnewaska Area Elementary School from 7:30am - 6:00pm($30.00/day) * Summer Laker Legends is offered at Minnewaska Area Elementary School from 7:30am - 5:30pm Summer Laker Legends 2025 Parent Handbook Programs are available for children in all day preschool through 6th grade that attend Minnewaska Area Schools. Bussing to the ASP is provided for students in 4th-6th grade. Attendance can be full-time, part-time or drop-in; however, the child must be registered online to attend. Parents/Guardians are responsible for making changes to child's schedule. An automated payment withdrawl will be made every two weeks. A late fee of $10 will be charged for late payments. If Minnewaska Area Schools are closed due to inclement weather or an emergency, there will NOT be any School Age Child Care offered. If school is running two hours late due to inclement weather, BSP will also be two hours late opening at 8:30am. Should schools close early due to inclement weather, ASP will not be offered.Child Care Program
